What We Believe

WE BELIEVE the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible authoritative Word of God and inerrant as originally received. 2 Timothy 3:16
WE BELIEVE that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Matthew 3:16, Deuteronomy 6:4
WE BELIEVE in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in his virgin birth, in his sinless life, in his miracles, in his vicarious and atoning death through his shed blood, in his bodily resurrection, in his ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in his personal return in power and glory.
WE BELIEVE that salvation comes by faith alone in Jesus Christ our Lord, and that the righteous are to live by faith. Ephesians 2:8
WE BELIEVE in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. Revelation 20:5,6
WE BELIEVE in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 4:4-6
WE BELIEVE in disciples who make disciples. Matthew 28:19-20

Our Leaders

Jon Pelz

Lead Pastor

Jon became pastor of Living Hope Missionary Church in June 2022. Jon grew up listening to sermons in the church where his father was a youth minister and he accepted Christ at an early age. He felt his call to ministry in high school. Despite his desire to leave Indiana, God had other plans. He ended up at Huntington University where his passion to show the love of Christ and the truth of who God is began to grow.

For Pastor Jon, this translated to youth ministry, first as the Campus Director for Youth for Christ, then as the Youth Director at New Covenant Worship Center. For the last few years, God has been working in his life to become a leader of men and women in the areas of discipleship and pastoring. To fulfill God’s further calling, Pastor Jon is working toward completing a Master of Theology degree at Redemption Seminary.

Jon enjoys being with his family, meeting new people, coaching basketball, golfing, and studying/understanding the Bible.

Brad Boyles

Discipleship Director

Brad graduated from Bluffton University with a B.S. in Communication and a Minor in English. He is currently working on his M.A. in Biblical Studies from Redemption Seminary. Brad has over a decade of ministry experience and was an associate pastor for 9 years before stepping into his current role as the Director of Discipleship.

Life-giving activities for Brad include recreational activities, spending time with family/friends, and helping people discover and live out their God-given potential.

Jay Fawver

Elder

Hello, my name is Jay "Doc" Fawver. For over 40 years, I have been happily married to my wife, Kris, who has been my best friend since high school. We have 2 married daughters and 2 beautiful granddaughters. We love to bike and explore antique shops in our free time while also playing fetch with our shelter dog, Winnie.

Living Hope has been our home church since 2015, where I have been privileged to serve as an elder, lead a disciple group, and help operate the AV booth on Sundays. The interpersonal warmth and application of Bible study have been hallmarks of Living Hope Missionary Church, where we strive to differentiate the popular opinions of the world from the eternal Truth provided by God in His Scripture.

Brian More

Elder

Brian currently serves on the church’s Elder Board and has served in lay leadership at Living Hope Missionary since 1998. He also serves the Central Region of the Missionary Church on the Regions Executive Board and as Director of Camp BLAST, the regions children’s camp.

Brian graduated from Huntington University in 1996 with a BA is Accounting. Brian married his high school sweetheart, Robin, in 1995 and they have two beautiful adult daughters, Madison & Brinnan. Brian enjoys using
his God given talents and abilities to serve his family, church, and community.

Robin More

Administrative Assistant

Robin supports the administrative functions for the church. She has filled her current role since October 2014. She spends most of her time raising and supporting her two children. Prior to dedicating 100% of her time to raising her children, Robin worked in insurance billing & coding for a local radiology group. Our office hours are flexible with much of the work being completed remotely. Simply send an email and Robin will ensure your needs are addressed.
